Manuel the Fawlty Towers Bellhop – Andrew Sachs the famous bellhop on the show Fawlty towers is one of the characters I always enjoyed watching. I still watch him today, keep reading and I would show you how to watch clips and episodes of the series online without searching through the rubble. I would eventually show you how to get your hands on your own copy of the entire full episodes of the popular British series.

To recap who he is, Manuel played the Bellhop “waiter” at the Fawlty Towers ran by Basil Fawlty and his wife Sybil Fawlty. He is an immigrant from Barcelona, Spain who did not have a good grasp of the English language. He was a little disorganized which added to why his character was interesting to watch. I wonder what the Spanish would think of the character he played today, if he was a little over the top with him not understanding much.

Scandal – “Sachsgate”

The prank calls made by Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross to Andrew Sachs  and was allowed to air by BBC radio 2, drew a lot of criticism and complaints from the public, members of the parliament and even the Prime minister. This led to the resignation of Russell and the suspension of Jonathan Ross for 12 weeks without pay. The BBC received a fine for the sum of €150,000 ($203,891.25) Ouch!.

The center of attention was the grand daughter of Andrew Sachs, Georgina Baillie who was performing with the group Satanic Sluts. Both Andrew and Georgina were displeased with the series of voice messages left on the stars phone by the comedian and TV presenter. Sachs is a very respectable man and I am happy with how the public and parliament stood up for him. I do not demonize Russell and Jonathan because of this; I just think they unknowingly took it too far. I do not think an apology would sweep it under the rug with me either, if I was Andrew Sachs.

Fawlty Towers The Complete Collection Re mastered.

This is one of the best comedy collections I have seen in a long time. I have bought collections of old movies before. They are of good quality, but not as good as the re-mastered versions. I can’t really find them anywhere else but online. The re-mastered version of Fawlty towers has a very good price for the COMPLETE collection of the episodes.
