Aso Ebi Bella

This ASO EBI Compilation post is inspired by all the beautiful Nigerian women I saw last week at an owambe party. In the past couple of months I have been noticing gorgeous women on Instagram, glammed up and looking pretty in their African attire; Ankara lace, you name it.

I am sure they put a lot into the preparation for the photo shoots, which includes the glam squad; the makeup artist, professional photographer with good lighting and of cause the fashion guru.

What inspired me to write this post is. I finally saw a group of ladies, sorry “a lot” of ladies at this high class society party looking floorless like the Instagram pictures. From the young to the old, all outstanding.

There were 2-3 groups of aso ebi. All with the same gele “headdress” colour. Different styles, nice shoes and bags to match. Makeup that made every shade perfect.

I googled to see what I have been missing and noticed a lot of nice post with tags like group cloth, aso ebi Bella and African Ankara attire to name a few.

This compilation is for you to get inspired.

What does asoebi mean? It is any African attire many Nigerian, West African cultures wear as a group to show cooperation at an event. Usually, weddings, birthdays, clubs functions to name a few. I am sure you have been to one of this events or witnessed your family members coordinates their clothing with others. Although I value uniqueness, this is a part of the African culture I enjoy.

Given the new makeup crazy that has been sweeping the nation for a couple of years now. The combination is a perfect storm. Let me know what you think about aso ebi. Peace and love. Enjoy the week end.
